On June 28th, the 2025 China (Tianmen) Clothing E-commerce Industry Conference opened in Tianmen City, Hubei Province. This grand event brought together industry experts from across the country and global resources, focusing on the empowerment of artificial intelligence technology and the construction of the cross-border e-commerce ecosystem. It aimed to drive the traditional clothing industry to leap to the high-end of the "digital + brand + global" value chain, injecting new impetus into the high-quality development of county-level economies.

The conference was centered around the theme of "Culture as the Soul, Standards as the Foundation, Digital and Intelligent Empowerment". Through 7 sub-activities such as the people-friendly gala, industry conference, and roundtable dialogue, it presented a comprehensive overview of the innovative achievements of the clothing e-commerce industry in Tianmen. At the same time, the "Regional Public Brand Management Standard System for 'Tianmen Fashion'" and the "Group Standards for 'Tianmen Fashion'" were released, providing guiding principles for the standardized and brand-oriented development of the industry.

As an important coordinate in the layout of China's clothing e-commerce industry, Tianmen City has taken advantage of the opportunities and policy support from the coastal industrial transfer. Currently, there are over 7,000 clothing-related market entities and 13,000 e-commerce stores, forming a complete ecosystem. In the past five years, it has attracted about 100,000 people to return and seek employment or entrepreneurship, and has created 160,000 jobs. In 2024, the transaction volume reached 51.3 billion yuan, and 620 million pieces of clothing were sold. The products were exported to 150 countries and regions around the world.

"Dress shirts have become in-demand items, the 'Little Charm' fashion trend has become the best-selling item, and sportswear has become a huge hit." Director Ji Daoqing of Tianmen City's Party Committee said that Tianmen regards its traditional industries as "family heirlooms", mobilizing thousands of households to strengthen the leading industries, creating the "Tianmen phenomenon" where one out of every three households is engaged in the clothing industry. The number of textile and clothing-related market entities has exceeded 13,000.

During the conference, artificial intelligence technology became the key topic. Industry experts conducted in-depth discussions on the theme of "AI + Textile and Clothing", pointing out that AI has deeply penetrated the entire chain of design, production, and logistics. Technology enterprises showcased the application of AI in scenarios such as clothing cross-border e-commerce marketing and digital twin factories, providing a reference for the intelligent transformation of the industry.

Intelligent Clothing Production Line

Currently, "AI clothing" is sweeping across Tianmen. In the design and development sector, the application of artificial intelligence technology will restructure the creative logic of clothing, promoting the transformation of clothing design from "experience-driven" to "data-enabled"; in the processing and manufacturing sector, the application of artificial intelligence technology will deeply optimize the production process, achieving cost reduction and efficiency improvement as well as a leap in product quality; in the warehousing and logistics sector, the application of artificial intelligence technology will deeply empower the improvement of warehousing turnover efficiency and the optimization of distribution costs, driving the intelligent upgrade of global delivery timeliness under the integrated model of online and offline, and the integration of domestic and foreign trade; in the circulation and marketing sector, the application of artificial intelligence technology will further enhance the ability of clothing enterprises to provide precise services to consumers.

Tianmen City Starting Point Supply Chain Management Co., Ltd. is a company that integrates clothing manufacturing, warehousing and logistics, as well as clothing wholesale and retail. The person in charge, Fei Wen, is planning the establishment of an intelligent factory. He explained that the intelligent factory started construction in December last year and is expected to be put into operation in October this year. After its completion, it is estimated that the production efficiency of clothing will increase by 30% to 40%.

Intelligent Logistics System

The opening ceremony also held the "Tianmen Clothing Fashion" brand authorization usage ceremony. The Cambodia AZ Group was granted the authorization. The city's clothing e-commerce industry association signed a strategic cooperation agreement with eight clothing e-commerce service providers such as Taobao Live Industry Belt. This conference facilitated the signing of 39 industrial projects, with a total investment of 14.528 billion yuan. Among them, 25 textile and clothing, and cultural tourism projects such as the annual production of 150 million meters of high-end nylon fabric project and the annual production of 30,000 bobbins of intelligent spinning project were signed on-site.
